Gordon Food Service offers employees access to back-up care through the Bright Horizons care network. Gordon Food Service employees have access to the Bright Horizons network of childcare centers as well as access to in-home childcare and eldercare through the Sittercity platform. Employees are eligible for up to 10 back-up care uses annually, with only a copay of $15 for one child, $25 for two or more children when using Bright Horizons center care, and a co-pay of $6 per hour when using in-home care. 95 percent of Gordon Food Service employees have a Bright Horizons care center near their home. In the event that you do not, you are eligible for reimbursed backup care of $100 per day.
An employee will receive paid time off, when necessary, for the death of an immediate family member. Here is an outline of the hours that can be taken consecutively for bereavement of a family member.
